Advanced Wave Sensors (AWSensors for short) is a high-tech company that develops, produces, and markets high precision sensing instrumentation for basic research, pre-clinical research, and industrial applications. AWSensors markets scientific technology for direct and real-time molecule analysis to be used by researchers to measure mass, thickness and viscoelasticity of thin films. AWSensors products are of interest in research fields such as new materials (wear, corrosion, swelling,…) and life sciences (DNA study, infectious diseases, clinical diagnosis…). Our company also provide scientific advice and customized adaptations of all our products. At the core of our sensing technology, commonly referred to as quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) with dissipation measurement (QCMD), is a humble piezoelectric quartz resonator. AWSensors is working at the frontiers of QCMD-based sensing by designing high-frequency QCMD sensors and sensor arrays, necessary control electronics and algorithms, fluidics for handling minute sample volumes, and interfacial chemistry for specific analyte detection.
The company was founded by a group of researchers at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain, where research into QCM instrumentation under liquid loading has been carried out for more than 20 years.
AWSensors proprietary technology allows researchers for finding important data which are currently not accessible because lack of sensitiveness of less expensive equipments. In other words, to get these data researchers requires a big investment in highly sophisticated technology. AWSensors instruments ensures low limit of detection because its highly sensitive sensors and additional data because of its high resolution measurement capability. Furthermore, a low sample volume is required , sample purification is not needed and assay protocol is more simple, so that researchers save money and time.
